  • Tiger and MLK? HUH??

Forgive me for being confused, but why is Tiger Woods speaking anywhere having to do with this Special Day?

If I’m not mistaken he has gone out of his way to avoid any stance (or leadership role) for those blacks who have not been able to take advantage of the slow eroding of racial discrimination in this country. If I remember correctly, Tiger has remained purposely silent at almost every opportunity to make a bold and public statement about inconstancies in the PGA or other sports and social issues (he has been asked to comment on).

Seems so typically Republican of the organizers to have someone come up and serve up a canned speech thinking the people are too stupid to see through it. I hope I’m wrong and this is the beginning of a new era for Tiger, but I doubt it.

Just sad he could be used so easily. I thought he was at least smarter, or held stronger to his isolationist stance, but I suppose even Tiger is just another fallible individual.

  • Stating The Obvious (Discipline)

Funny, those old sayings you get sick of hearing always come around to slap you in the face.

So, I was watching a recent interview (post President-elect Obama) with President Bush.

He said something so obvious and true it hit me like a fish to the face.  He was answering a question on how he continues to live the life he has now. He openly mentioned his “wilder days” of drinking and not being as focused on life as he is now.  The word he kept giving over and over was “discipline”. He mentioned that he somehow had the internal discipline to stay strong when things were bad: The discipline to keep Praying and stay Faithful even when the easy answer was to “be popular”.

His talk hit home so deep in me it could not have been a co-ink-e-doink that I was channel surfing and stopped on that channel to refresh my diet coke.

‘Discipline’: Such a simple word with such serious meaning. Most people don’t truly understand the word discipline as it pertains to a Father/Son relationship. Most people think of discipline as training yourself to eat better or study harder...etc.  As we (people) became more self aware, and became more interested in controlling everything around us, we used ‘discipline’ to bend others to our way of thinking and acting. We didn’t ask cows and dogs and slaves...etc to do what we required, we used corporal discipline to make them ‘get-in-line’. We used the form of the word that people try to make believe doesn’t exist these days. I’m sure every single one of you at some point has been in a public place and looked over and said “that brat could use some discipline”.  Well, you are right, we all could use “some discipline” to keep us straight and attentive to what is important and not distracted the “shiny” things in this world.

With that in mind I come to now:

When you are lost and not in place of good form and you ask your Father for help in gaining the discipline required to obtain good form, be aware your Father uses the real meaning of discipline and not today’s lighter definition.

    My point?

After watching GWB in his interview I looked at myself and realized the OCD, ADHD, Disciplined man that had done things and attacked issues had been replaced with a pile a fleshy selfishness and flab. When I asked my Father for the discipline to regain that vigor and fire to attack issues and to be on the front edge, I was greeted with CORRECTION first. See, discipline requires the immediate breaking of bad habits and bad attitudes. In our Father’s world, you must first go through correction in order to achieve discipline.  God doesn’t snap His fingers and grant you unlimited power to define yourself. God gives us correction to refine our actions. He gives us correction so we can reflect and remember what we were, and where we were, so we learn the lesson and not fall back.

Anyway..  my whole point of this was..

I ask for discipline and He gave me correction. It hurts, but I know I’m Loved!

  • I Love Inspiration!!

There are some really funny people just out there working for a living and having fun.

I Submit to you the following posts

BCS DECLARES GERMANY WINNER OF WORLD WAR II
    US Ranked 4th
After determining the Big-12 championship game participants the BCS
computers were put to work on other major contests and today the
BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.
"Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning
with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing
on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway,
Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses
came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire
body of work--including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule--
our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking."
Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS
commissioner stated "The US only had two major victories--Japan and
Germany. The computer models, unlike humans, aren't influenced by
head-to-head contests--they consider each contest to be only a
    single, equally-weighted event."
German Chancellor Adolph Hiter said "Yes, we lost to the US; but we
defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks." Herr Hitler has been
criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn 'style points' to
enhance Germany's rankings. Hitler protested "Our contest with
Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in
Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of
    additional forces."

The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented
" France had a single loss against Germany and following a
preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2."
Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria

I am  fan of those that think this BCS/Bowl thing is just really stupid, and I really enjoy creative ways to make it look that way.

    Nice Job Marcus F!!

  • Bowl Chaos/Plaxico (me being sadistic) and just some Stuff.

Here is how my mind works lately:

Alabama just humiliates the Gators in the SEC Championship

Missouri finds a way, any way, to beat Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship

USC shuts out UCLA while dropping 60 on them for the PAC 10 Championship

Now if you then, when we look at the BCS standings after that what have we got!!  BWAHAHAHAHA!!

    C’MON!! Let’s have some CHAOS! With a capital ‘K’

The NFL; Plaxico Burress; and the ‘Gun’:

See, I think God in His great Wisdom and quirky way of teaching us lessons has more in store for this story.

See, an unregistered gun means it was probably picked up by “other means” from a “friend of a friend…etc”

Now, when the authorities get that gun they automatically do a ballistics test to se if what used in a crime.

I’m think the answer will be yes, and it should be a heck of a wake-up call the rest of those pro-thugs to stop trying to be “above the law” because they get paid millions to be bought and sold like horses..

Sooner or later these; Actors, Athletes, Reality TV dipwards, thing is going to correct itself in a hard and obvious way.

I’d rather see it done to selfish morons who are just asking to be an example, but sooner or later someone is going to end up with a weapon that was used to kill someone and they will have no way to prove it wasn’t them.

*Wish* The people who actually are my employers learns that you have to make the customer happy NOW, not 6 months from now, if you want to keep you product in business. I am constantly amazed at their inability to realize that telling a customer ( who can’t use the they spent $100K to purchase) that it “should be better” in the next upgrade…    Seriously, I have to make 6 months of excuses to paying customers why what they bought is not “working as designed”.

And in late breaking news… as if I haven’t mentioned it enough yet.

I am officially allergic to peanuts and tree-nuts and need to carry around an epi pen to stab myself with if things get serious. I go straight to anaphylaxis shock, rather than rash or anything else.  Ya know.. why sweat the small stuff. I want the best bang for my buck!  OYE!

See, I was checked into the hospital some months back because I was have some chest flutters. The initial EKG and the doctor office confirmed ‘something’, so they checked me in. Now, by the time I was processed and suck dry of blood…etc they could no longer find anything (including brain function). The next day when I got put on the treadmill for a stress test I passed that too.  Rhonda suggested I just stop peanuts or oils because it just seem like something to suggest as a possible idea. I did, the symptoms only return a couple times when I was eating out and wasn’t sure hw the food was prepared.  I recently broke down and went to an allergist to confirm this and she did, but my only concern now is” If this is a new development, is it done developing or is it only going to get worse?”

    PEACE!
